Gabriel India is one of India's leading manufacturers of automotive shock absorbers and suspension systems. To maintain strict production quality and inventory precision, accurate monitoring of lubricating oil is essential.
The company traditionally relied on manual methods to measure lubricating oil received through bulk tankers. To eliminate manual errors, prevent inventory mismatches, and digitize the unloading process, Gabriel India partnered with Bulfro Monitech Pvt. Ltd. for an advanced flow monitoring solution.
The core objective was to automate lubricating oil measurement during tanker unloading. Since lubricating oil is a non-conductive fluid, conventional electromagnetic flow meters were not viable.
Bulfro implemented a customized Ultrasonic Flow Monitoring System capable of providing accurate, real-time volume measurement along with automated digital data logging throughout the unloading process.
- Manual dip-gauge measurements for tanker unloading.
- Measurement errors caused by tank geometry, vehicle tilt, and temperature variations.
- Difficulty verifying supplier-delivered quantities against invoices.
- Lack of digital records, audit trails, and traceability.
- Inventory mismatches leading to operational and financial losses.
- Heavy dependence on manual verification during unloading operations.
Unlike electromagnetic meters, ultrasonic technology measures flow using sound waves rather than electrical conductivity, making it ideal for organic and hydrocarbon-based fluids.
- Customized Ultrasonic Flow Monitoring System calibrated for lubricating oil.
- Direct integration into the tanker unloading pipeline.
- Real-time flow rate measurement & automated volume verification.
- Digital data logging and tamper-resistant audit trails.
- Accurate inventory reconciliation with reduced manual intervention.
